One of the flagship initiatives under Igati Creative and Innovators NGO is the Igati Community One Million Bee Hive Project in Meru County. This program exemplifies the NGO’s commitment to building sustainable livelihoods by harnessing the local environment and resources to create economic opportunities. By establishing and supporting one million beehives, the project aims to empower local communities, improve food security, promote biodiversity, and contribute to environmental conservation. Igati Creative and Innovators is fully compliant with the Public Benefit Organization Regulatory Authority, ensuring transparency, accountability, and adherence to regulatory standards. The NGO has also established formal partnerships with credible institutions, including Ubuntu International, Meru University of Science and Technology, the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), and Meru County Government. The organization is mandated to operate across five counties—Meru, Laikipia, Isiolo, Marsabit, and Samburu—and is led by a dedicated board of directors responsible for guiding its strategic direction.
