Born on April 23rd, 1978, in Meru County, Alfred’s entrepreneurial spirit began to shine at a young age. By the time he was 14, he was already exploring creative ventures in Gakoromone Market. However, his path was far from straightforward. He faced the dilemma of whether to pursue his business aspirations or continue with formal education. His belief that his destiny lay in entrepreneurship clashed with his grandfather’s vision for his education, leading him to attend Ngenia Day Secondary School in Laikipia to have time for his creative and innovative ventures as side hustle.
After successfully completing his K.C.S.E exams, Alfred returned to Kwa Makara and established his first grocery kiosk, which flourished and marked the success of his first venture. But he didn’t stop there. His journey led him to Moi University in Eldoret, where he continued to nurture his creative ventures, resulting in successful business units that extended beyond the campus.
By the time of his graduation, Alfred had become an employer of labor, overseeing five mobile phone accessories stores in various towns, including a field sales van. With this level of success in entrepreneurship, he had already discovered his life’s purpose and saw no reason to seek formal employment.
Alfred’s entrepreneurial journey took him through various industries, from mobile phone shops to computer stores, from cosmetics distribution to flour milling, pulses packaging, poultry farming, pig farming, hotels, hospitality, clubs, and entertainment. Each venture taught him invaluable lessons that have made him the leader he is today.
